Rock Ridge is a family-oriented private country club in Newtown, CT, situated conveniently close to Brookfield, Bethel, Danbury, Easton, Monroe, New Milford and Redding. Originally a three-hole course that was the weekend estate of a prominent New York City doctor, the estate was purchased and became Pine Tree Country Club. Shortly after, the property was sold to a group that included many of the Club's original members. Retaining the Club's pine tree logo, this group founded Rock Ridge County Club in 1954. Today Rock Ridge is a full-service country club with a stellar nine-hole golf course, Har-Tru tennis courts, beautiful L-shaped swimming pool and recently built pool cabana and clubhouse, the latter boasting a lovely outside patio and fire pit that becomes the hub of the club’s social activities in summer.
