Golf

In its rich 65-plus year history, Rock Ridge has turned itself from what once was a backyard hobby three-hole golf course into a premier nine-hole country club. The Alfred Tull golf course is set in the beautiful, hilly countryside of northern Fairfield County, which makes the scenery as impressive as the course itself. The course at Rock Ridge plays longer than its stated yardage and boasts some of the fastest, well maintained bent grass greens in Connecticut, making for a challenging, yet rewarding round of golf. From the finely manicured fairways, to the impeccable teeing grounds, Rock Ridge will not disappoint.

In today’s hectic life, the course at Rock Ridge is your ally in helping you with your most precious commodity: time. Weekend foursomes routinely play in less than four hours. The course is also routed in such a manner where playing a quick three or five holes is easy to do when time doesn’t allow for more. The course also is an excellent place to bring that new golfer in your life.

The facilities at Rock Ridge are top notch.  Rock Ridge has a superior driving range, with the option of hitting either off of hitting mats or grass. The putting green and chipping green (with practice bunker) are excellent places to hone your short game.

The club offers a wide variety of tournaments throughout the entire season (including our Wednesday Ladies Night and Thursday Men’s Night) and there are plentiful clinics, lessons and other programs specifically geared for juniors.

PGA Head Golf Professional Brian Hussey and his staff are excellent teachers if you are looking for an individual lesson, group clinic or some guidance in club fitting. The pro shop also is the perfect place to shop for all the latest in gear and apparel and also offers professional club repair on site. All this combines to make the club a premier golf facility for members and guests alike.
